During Labor Day Weekend, there is the Detroit International Jazz Festival for music lovers. Music, however, isn’t the only art that can be appreciated in Detroit. The Detroit Institute of Arts is an institution with over one hundred galleries including pieces by Degas, Cézanne, Diego Riviera, and many more. For view fanatics there is the Bell Isle, which contains beautiful landscaping and provides a beautiful view of downtown Detroit itself. The Riverfront is another place to enjoy a walk during the summer in Detroit. It stretches for three miles along the fourteen mile Detroit River, and is under construction as of now, but it will be open to the public sometime during this summer! Detroit is home to music legends Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, and Madonna. The Motown Historical Museum is a worthy place to visit, and is where these artists recorded. It contains Motown’s first recording studio, where Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and many more have recorded. During the summer Greek town is an upbeat and lively place to visit. It contains many casinos, bars, and restaurants, and gets especially crowded after Lions or Red Wings games. The Greek town is the most famous attraction in this portion of the city, and is located downtown. With the warm weather starting up so does baseball season! The Detroit Tigers are a major attraction to the city, and play all the from March 31st through September! Detroit’s fans are one of a kind, and it is a great experience for those who are just visiting the city!

Eye health is crucial to your general well-being, after all you’ve only one pair of eyes. Given how much time is spent on the electronic screen, it becomes imperative to take steps to regulate time computer time. Eye doctors strongly suggest looking up every 20 minutes for 20 seconds (20/20 is easy to remember) to give your eye muscles time to relax. Use a glare filter is necessary. Even rearranging the table helps. Ideally, the screen should be slightly below eye level, positioned between 18 to 20 inches away from your eyes. Then, work the settings on the computer—adjust brightness, contrast, font size to find the best settings for your eyes.
Being aware of this problem is half the battle won. You can now take steps to improve your work environment or regulate computer time to reduce eyestrain.
